Sarju Naran - Employment Law Chair, Hoge Fenton

Chair of Hoge Fenton’s Employment Law Group, Sarju’s experience spans from representing middle-market and family-owned closely held businesses to large, multi-national companies. He regularly litigates and provides advice and counsel to companies on wage and hour issues, trade secret misappropriation, employee mobility, wrongful termination, performance management, leaves of absence, and other high risk matters. He spent his first five years of practice with Hoge Fenton and was then an associate with Paul Hastings in Palo Alto for four years before rejoining Hoge Fenton in 2010. Sarju is a frequent speaker and trainer.



Jenn Protas - Shareholder, Hoge Fenton

A shareholder at Hoge Fenton, Jenn provides counsel to employer clients on a range of subjects, including employee leave issues, personnel management, hiring, terminations, and wage and hour practices. Jenn also defends employers in matters related to wage and hour law, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in single-plaintiff litigation, Private Attorney General Act actions, and/or class actions. She is a frequent public speaker and regularly presents seminars and trainings on such employment issues as: annual legal updates, complex leave issues, complying with California wage and hour law, legally-mandated anti-harassment trainings (AB 1825) and effective management of employees.



Laura Riparbelli - Associate, Hoge Fenton

An associate at Hoge Fenton and a member of the firm’s Business Litigation and Employment Law teams, Laura focuses on drafting employment-related policies and agreements, and representing employers of all types and sizes in employment-related litigation matters. Prior to joining Hoge Fenton, Laura served an internship at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security / Transportation Security Administration in the Office of Chief Counsel, an externship with Hon. Hector E. Ramon in the Santa Clara County Superior Court, and an internship in contract management at Intuitive Surgical, Inc.
