The Silicon Valley Chapter advances the mission of ALA by leading and inspiring excellence through the pursuit and exchange of knowledge to elevate legal management professionals in their organizations.

The Association of Legal Administrators is your connection to legal management knowledge, resources, and networking to help you lead your firm in all aspects of business, people, technology, and operations management.

ALA supports all persons interested in legal management regardless of the firm’s size or length of experience and offers many opportunities for professional growth through a variety of educational and networking resources.

#1 ALA Membership

Membership in the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA, parent organization) is required for membership in the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALASVC).

#2 Chapter Membership

Once you join through ALA Headquarters and receive a membership ID number, you will be able to join ALASVC. 

Chapter membership runs from January 1 through December 31. 

Members of the Silicon Valley Chapter must meet the requirements set forth in the Association Bylaws and abide by the ALA Code of Ethics.

Dues

  • Chapter dues are $100 per year (separate from membership in the Association). Members can be anyone interested in legal management as long as they are not in the business of selling services or products to the legal field.

  • Student dues are $25 (separate from membership in the Association). Eligible students are those who are not already employed as management professionals and are enrolled part or full time in any degree program at an accredited institution of higher learning are eligible with proof of current enrollment, for up to four terms.

ALA Silicon Valley Chapter fosters an inclusive environment of awareness and respect. Getting involved in chapter activities is the best way to meet colleagues and develop a local network of professionals.

Vendors are not eligible for ALA membership; however, there are a variety of sponsorship opportunities available for those interested in becoming a business partner of ALASVC.
