Students are welcome to join ALA Silicon Valley Chapter!

An Offer for Students Interested in Legal Management

ALA Silicon Valley Chapter (ALASVC) seeks to foster and grow the next generation of legal managers and shape the future of law.

Are you interested in the legal field and the business of law, but perhaps not as a lawyer?

There are many business positions in the legal field as well, such as finance, human resources, facilities and operations, technology, and marketing.

These business professionals are vital to the operations and profitability of a law office, legal department, or government agency.

A broad skill set and business acumen are essential, such as critical thinking and analysis, written and oral communication, organizational and logistical skills, and knowledge of specific areas of organizational management, finance, human resources, operations, and technology.

Students can learn more about careers in legal management in this brochure, Your Career in the Business of Law.

If this interests you, consider joining the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and our local ALA Silicon Valley Chapter (ALASVC) to learn more about the many professional options in the legal field and network with seasoned legal management professionals. (Applicants must be members of the parent Association first to be members of ALASVC local chapter.)
